Love to Sing? Join the Ipswich River Community Chorus for our holiday concert, Santa’s Ride Around the World!
Songs are a mix of traditional Christmas carols (O Come All Ye Faithful, Sleigh Bells, Ave Maria and Silent Night) and modern favorites (Mele Kalikimaka and You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch) to name a few! Additional music will take you on a ride around the world, with The Sleigh (Russia), Calypso Cradle Carol (Caribbean), Carol from an Irish Cabin (Ireland) and African Noel (Africa).
The chorus includes singers with a wide variety of experience. Some have never sung before, some haven’t sung since high school and others have been singing for 30+ years! If this sounds like something you’re interested in, we encourage you to stop by one of the open rehearsals on September 10th and 17th at 7:00. The first half hour is an opportunity to meet other chorus members, ask questions and eat snacks! Normal rehearsals are on Monday’s from 7:30-9:30 at the Aldersgate Church (235 Park St. North Reading).
