IRCC Receives Massachusetts Cultural Council Grant for Production of Video in Remembrance of Those Lost to Covid

While we are so grateful to see our communities emerging from what was, for so many, a very dark and difficult year, we remember those lost or forever changed because of Covid. It is in remembrance of them, and for all of you, that we created this video.

In Remembrance (from Requiem by Eleanor Daley); Lyrics from Mary Elizabeth Frye’s poem “Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep”; Musical Direction by Johnny Nichols Jr.

IN REMEMBRANCE

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
(Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!)

This project was supported in part through a generous grant from the Cultural Investments Portfolio Projects Program of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. We thank them for their support.
