Named for a beloved arts educator and member of Ipswich River Community Chorus, the Nancy Ferretti/Ipswich River Community Chorus Scholarship for Achievement in the Arts is awarded to deserving students who intend to pursue their love of music as they continue their education.  Each year IRCC grants a $500 scholarship to two to graduating high school seniors in the communities which we serve.

Currently, the scholarship is open to students from North Reading, Reading, Tewksbury, Wilmington and North Andover.  Our student members, as well as the children of IRCC members, are welcome to apply regardless of their town of residence.

In order to be eligible, candidates must fit the following qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled as a high school senior, eligible to graduate in June 2024, in one of the following towns: North Reading, Reading, Wilmington, Tewksbury, or North Andover
  • IRCC student members, as well as the children of IRCC members, are also welcome to apply regardless of their town of residence as long as they meet the criteria listed below
  • Must have participated for a minimum of 2 years in your school’s performing arts program or with a community-based performing arts organization
  • Must plan to continue your education in a post-secondary college; preference will be given to students in pursuit of a degree related to music/performing arts

Funding for these awards comes from the proceeds of our productions and contributions from our valued supporters.
